Dates of some open-to-all events in the immediate locality of Locks Heath, Park Gate, Sarisbury Green, Titchfield, Titchfield Common, Catisfield, Whiteley and Warsash, are listed below.
A specific date and time are given when Stephanie and Graham will be there to meet any other members who wish to join them. If you would like to attend the event with the group, simply make your own way to the venue for the designated time and join us at the meeting place. There is no need to contact us in advance. The specific meeting dates and times will also be emailed to members and included in the newsletters.

Fareham and District Society of Model Engineers Steam Railway Weekend, July
Ten of us visited this fantastic open weekend. After a quick look at the engineering models on display in the exhibition tent we made straight to the ticket booth for our tickets for a ride on the miniature railway. After this we chatted over refreshments with live music in the background and then ambled around the other displays and stalls.
Titchfield Open Gardens - June
Eleven of us met up to view 13 beautiful gardens around Titchfield. We didn't always go around as a complete group, as different gardens were of more interest to some than others but we did all meet up for refreshments in St Peter's Church where we had a lot to talk about.
Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra - May
A group of us went to this amazing show at Fareham Live. It was a wonderful evening with fantastic musicians and singers and great audience participation.
Warsash Horticultural Society Plant Sale - May
Several of us attended this popular plant sale.
Titchfield Village Fayre - May
A few of us met up for this quintessential village fayre. We had a prime position to watch the procession go by then enjoyed looking around the stalls before taking a leisurely look at the classic cars. Afterwards we spent a long time in St. Peter's church learning about the history of the building and taking a look inside the belfry where bell ringing was demonstrated.
Catisfield Plant Sale in aid of Air Ambulance - May
Several of us went along to this outdoor community sale where we made purchases for our gardens.
Titchfield Art & Craft Show - April
11 of us met up to admire the local artwork and craft stalls. A couple of hours sped past as we wandered around the extensive displays, chatting amongst ourselves and with some artists, purchasing a few things that took our fancy and enjoying refreshments in the cafe.
Giselle by the English Youth Ballet - April
9 of us attended an inspiring performance of this emotional ballet at Fareham Live. The dancing was exquisit and the show was much enjoyed by all of us.
Preloved Fashion Show - March
Many members attended this fund-raising event for St John's Church. We enjoyed watching enthusiastic models strut the catwalk, canapes and fizz in the interval, and then the opportunity to browse and shop from a vast array of pre-loved quality clothing.
'Elvis' - February
A small group of us went to Fareham Live to see Ben Portsmouth performing a tribute to Elvis. It was a fantastic evening.
Meet and chat at Waitrose cafe - February
Because of a lack of organised events to attend this month we arranged to meet up and chat over a hot drink. Over the course of a couple of hours 19 of did just this, some staying the whole time, other for less. Some were long established members and some were new to our u3a. Conversations flowed easily and several members exchanged their experiences of other interest groups.
Locks Heath Classic Car meet - January
We started the year with a wander around the classic cars on display at Locks Heath centre on New Year's Day. There were many vehicles to look at of all ages and makes and they stimulated a lot of interesting discussion. Some of us went to to enjoy a very relaxed hot drink in a local cafe with lots more chatter with good company.

Warsash Art Group Craft and Art Fair - December
A few of us met up for the group's final event of the year and the chance to see art and craft work made by the extremely talented members of Warsash Art Group. We spent nearly an hour wandering around the stalls, chatting to the artists and making a few purchases, after which we chatted over tea and cake in their café area.
St John's Christmas Tree Festival - December
Twenty six of our u3a visited this wonderful community event. We viewed the more than 60 stunning trees which had been decorated by local groups and listened in awe to our u3a choir, The Shepperd Singers, as they entertained visitors with seasonal songs and carols. We particularly admired our u3a tree which was decorated with 29 different 'baubles' representing each of our interest groups.
Christmas Craft Fair - November
Several of us met up to go to this traditional Christmas Craft Fair. We chatted as we strolled around the stalls, saw other friends we knew, and relaxed over festive refreshments.
The Nutcracker Ballet - November
A small group of us went to Fareham Live to watch a stunning performance of this popular seasonal ballet.
Macmillan and Mountbatten Coffee Morning - November
Twenty of us attended this fundraising event at St. Margaret's Nurseries in Titchfield. We spent a very relaxed couple of hours together chatting over refreshments and trying our luck at the Tombola and Raffle. The cake and book stalls were popular, and we enjoyed the opportunity to look around the nursery at the beautiful plants and Christmas stock.
Fareham Art Group Show and Craft Fair - October
Several of us enjoyed looking around and discussing the amazing display of local art and crafts in the show, had refreshments together then viewed the craft stalls at the same event. Some of us then went to another craft fair held elsewhere where more wonderful homemade items were available.
The Repair Shop at Fareham Live - October
A small group of us enjoyed this live show which we love watching on TV.
Whiteley Farmer's Market - October
Several of us met up and chatted as we strolled leisurely around the stalls at this launch event, admiring vegetables, bee products, meat, pastries, preserves etc. all produced locally.
Warsash Village Garden Show - September
We enjoyed looking at the entries for the various categories including flowers, fruit, vegetables, photography and baking, then enjoyed a chat over a cuppa and a slice of cake.
Open Art - Warsash, August
We visited three venues, each exhibiting the work of groups of artists. We were able to meet some of the creators and chat to them about their work. We had refreshments at the final venue.
Open Art - Titchfield Common, August
We spent time with two artists at their individual studios learning about how their journey into painting then visited a third venue showcasing a number of artists where we enjoyed a leisurely chat over tea and cake.
Open Art - Warsash and Locks Heath, August
Some of us spent a pleasant morning visiting two venues promoting several local artists. We had some interesting chats about how they work and their backgrounds.
Sarisbury Green Community Show, August
Twelve of us enjoyed a relaxed amble around the more than 600 exhibits of flowers, fruit, vegetables, photographs and crafts that had been entered into this community event, marvelling at the wide range of talent and the time and effort spent by those who took part. We then chatted over refreshments and stayed to watch the cups being awarded.
Fareham and District Society of Model Engineers Steam Railway Weekend, July
Some of us visited this amazing event chatting easily as we ambled around the displays of model trains, classic vehicles and steam engines. We enjoyed refreshments listening to live country music and perused the craft, charity and bric-a-brac stalls. And we went on a train ride on their miniature railway!
Wynton Gardens Fete, July
Wynton Gardens is run by service users with special needs. They are non profit making with proceeds going into their garden project. A group of us enjoyed chatting over some magnificent cakes and drinks as well as entertainment from a Ukulele band, a Sea Shanties group and some drama performed by the service users.
Rotary Warsash Village Festival, July
Some of us met up to wander around the 40 or so stalls and take in the entertainment in the central display area.
17th Century Civil War Re-Enactment and Living History Camp, June
This event gave a fascinating insight into the lives of people in the 17th Century. People in the camp were keen to share their extensive knowledge about all things from weaponry, needlecrafts, guns, coins, peddling, food and apothecary whilst guns and canons were fired in demonstrations and re-enactments.
Friends of Fareham Community Hospital presentations, June
Those attending engaged in two interesting presentations, learning about scams and what we can do to limit their risk from the local Community Policing team and the development and work of The Rainbow Centre in Fareham.
Turin Shroud talk, May
About 10 members enjoyed a fascinating presentation about the Turin Shroud, learning about its history and seeing high definition copies.
Locks Heath Classic Car Meet, May
Several of us met up to wander around about 40 classic cars, chatting enthusiastically about our own cars over the years and memories we had of those on show.
Genesis Youth Centre Art and Craft Market, May
Several members came along to this event and enjoyed looking at the hand-crafted items on sale followed by a chat and refreshments in a relaxing lounge area.
Warsash Horticultural Society Plant Sale, May
About 10 members attended this popular plant sale and most made a purchase. There was an art and craft event in another room with refreshments so we moved onto that and enjoyed a leisurely chat.

Members enjoyed wandering around the stalls chatting to the makers and creators about their work followed by refreshments and a chat.
Friends of Fareham Community Hospital presentations, April
15 of us met to listen to two interesting and informative presentations. The first was from the Social Prescribing team in the local community and the second about the work of Knitted Knockers UK.
