Putting a website (eg Locks Heath u3a) onto your phone home screen so it looks like an app

Android phone:

• Open Chrome / Google
• Go to the website you want
• Tap the three dots ⋮ in the top-right corner.
• Choose Add to Home screen.
• Change the name if you wish.
• Tap Add.
• The website will then appear on your phone's home screen like an app. 

iPhone:

• Open Safari and go to the website you want
• Tap the Share button — the square with an up arrow.
• Scroll down the menu.
• Tap Add to Home Screen.
• Change the name if you wish.
• Tap Add.
• The website will then appear as an icon on your iPhone Home Screen.
• If you don't see Add to Home Screen, scroll further down the Share menu.

IT Support at Age Concern

Age Concern at Locks Heath Shopping Centre run 1:1 sessions to support and teach basic IT skills to the over 50s when using a laptop, tablet or phone.

The sessions are free, although a small donation is welcomed, and can be booked by email - enquiries@ageconcernhampshire.org.uk or phone - 01962 86854

IT Support at Lockswood Library

These are volunteer led sessions covering the basics of IT, held on Friday afternoons. It is good to go with a specific task that you want to learn.

Hearing Helpers

St Johns Church Locks Heath on the 1st Monday and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 11am.

For all NHS hearing aids; battery replacements, dome replacements, tube replacements and advice.

Saturday Club

Age Concern at Locks Heath Shopping Centre run a monthly Saturday Club offering older residents support whilst their families get valuable respite. There are activities, company and optional hot lunches.
